So today Jesper and I got up at 5.30 AM and headed for the Columbia River Gorge. The river's cut a deep rift through the mountains, and it's got some spectacular sights. Among other things quite a bit of waterfalls, the most famous of which should be Multnomah Fall, the second tallest fresh water waterfall in the US.
On the way there, I stumbled upon this view over the valley, that sort of inspired me. And that's fog, not clouds.

Going home, we decided to go round the mountain, we're going to ski on later this week. A solitary giant among mere foothills.
